ABOUT ME

I am Azayla Rodriguez and I am from the small area of Griffin, GA and I currently reside in McDonough, GA. I come from small circled cities, but there is nothing about my personality that is small.

Growing up with my parents and my older brother, I was given lots of advice and opportunities to express myself and to always dream big. My parents contribute a lot to who I am today. I may have my mother's smarts and strong personality, but I have my dad's charisma and sense of humor.

I have always been a creative and eccentric person due to being a dancer my entire life. I found my true passion for writing as a Junior in high school. Therefore, when I got to college my freshman year I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Brenau University offered all the right components that went along with my game plan. I am majoring in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and Media. Along with my major, I also minor in Dance. My journalism professor was the person who helped me find my niche for feature/magazine writing.

For the future, I plan to get my Masters Degree in Magazine Writing as well as continuing my dance career. Hopefully, one day you'll be reading my articles in magazines across the world.

I will always be proud to call myself a Brenau Refined Women. The gold refined by fire will always burn inside of me.
